Remy Charlip, Where is Everybody ?
This is a 1957 book (reprint of 1969), bought on Amazon for $16,49 (probable 2/3 of the price is the shipping) Pierre ordered it because it’s really close to his work : minimalist drawings and design. A great read for our 4 year old son, Lucien. Seems it’s also a book for my father : weather is nice, and then rainy, and as he always says : “Tu devrais...

Published 1986 by Harry N. Abrams, bought $55 + shipping at ABEbooks / Mister Rogers books. It’s a second edition. I own this book. It took me a few months to get it. First I thought “I’ll buy it some day”, a few weeks later I tried to order it. I have ordered it 3 times to 3 different merchants. The 2 first ones - after a couple of months each - were out of stock. ...

Stuart Woodman, Now we are 30
2010 Self published (under the name Doubleplusgood books) This one already had many reviews, by now I’m sure you all know about it, and you all understand Stuart turned 30. The pictures are beautiful, and I love the idea to use Polaroids larger than usual, and to keep the Polaroids outline (which you can’t actually see on our pictures).

Harvey Benge, Against forgetting
I met Harvey Benge a couple of weeks ago, while he was in Paris, he gave me his new self-published book. This is about Harvey’s family, and in a way it reminds me Pictures from home by Larry Sultan. I am family-sensible. Take some time to visit Harvey’s blog too.

Published 2006 by Los Angeles Forum for Architecture and Urban Design, bought 10,41€  though Amazon.de I had wanted this book for a long time, but I’m quite disapointed. I love the pictures,I love the idea, but the design kills it. The book gets boring.

Laura Noble, The art of collecting photography
Published 2006, Ava publishing. I bought this one during a London trip, it was on sale (£15, I think) (c) Aaron Siskind It’s not my best book ever, but there are some usefull things in it, by photographer, by decades, and what’s to be / not to be done I have always loved that picture, and Imogen Cunningham’s work. I may need this kind of shelves within a few years
