Love that spread.

I have always loved fireworks. I wish I knew how to photograph that.
Really surprising to see that fireworks b&w pictures work, and that it can be a great book. A 320 pages !

I think I’ve been quite lucky to find this one on Markus’s shelves… and it’s a signed copy.

Published 2010 by Aperture, bought at Schaden during Offprint. Well I wanted to buy this one at the Aperture booth inside Paris Photo, but… I wanted to have a look at the 1985 edition, and I asked but I have been answered : “no, this book is for collectors”.

We did our pictures at Le Bal, where they are currently showing “Cinq étranges albums de famille”.
Photie man was Tom Wood’s nickname in his city of New Brighton, where he took all these amazing portraits, just walking from his house with his camera, and meeting / looking at people.
