Love that picture (reminds me of Joseph Szabo)
Self-published 2010, in an edition of 500
The theme of the book is borders, and the author used a very thin paper, and transparency.
A spread made of white, it’s the back of the paper, and you guess the pictures, when you turn the page you see the spread of photographs.
This book was in my selection for the PiY show in September 2011.
Self-published (Doubleplusgood Books) 2011, bought during PiY (7 euros)
This book was part of my selection for this year’s PiY.
Self-published 2011, this was a gift from Anne

Snow. My photographic magnet.
This book was part of my selection for this year’s PiY
Published 2010 for the exhibition (In)visible 29th January-28th February 2010 at Fotodok, in Utrecht, Netherlands.
The photographs show places where people were seized their passport, and had to work 7/7 more than 15/24, and often beaten. In France.

I love social photography, it helps me feel concerned about people.
Published 2007 by White Space Gallery, bought at Librairie de la Galerie, Paris.
See also the website dedicated to the book here.
This book was brought to my attention because Stephen Gill edited the pictures.
This is a book about life, family, friends.
Mix it with the nostalgic feeling of 70’s polaroids, and a great sequencing
magic moments caught

I never planned to buy this book, but well… on sale at 22,50 euros vs 75, I couldn’t resist.
There are a few things that I really love in that book.
Published 2003, bought at Yannick / Shashin
It’s the story of the Sandrien boat and its crew that has been anchored in the harbor of Amsterdam by Dutch authorities, for months…
As time goes by, the boat is getting worse and worse
its crew more and more tired
and the book pages more and more orange
Published 2011 by Steidl, 48 euros
A walk in Le Marais with Rémi Coignet and both our families led us to Beaubourg and the bookstore. Rémi suggested I get this book.
The book is divided in 4 chapters / works.
We all have this souvenir somewhere
Looking at these pictures, I can’t help but think of Joel Sternfeld in “How to make a photobook with Steidl”, explaining how he shot people in the malls with his iphone…
People seem to forget about him
they don’t even notice him
Another mall story…
The funniest picture in the book.
Self-published (POD) 2010
The book is made of material found on the web.
L : Ansel Adams took one of his most famous images near this spot, it’s amazing how much the trees in the foreground seem to have grown since!
R : I have wanted to find this exact spot for YEARS, after seeing Ansel Adams photo from the same location. It is simply a stunning view. July 2006.
This photograph was inspired by a report I dif on the work of Diane Arbus. My goal was to recreate a modern version of the twins she photographed.
L : Near Hampton - after a pic of somewhere in the Iberian countryside… by Bustamente.
R : Self portrait in the style of Harry Callahan
Being Andreas Gursky cannot be too difficult
Photograph taken by me.
I took this digital file off Sherrie Levine’s website (www.aftersherrielevine.com). This artist copied and appropriated a photograph originally taken by Walker Evans. The author is dead.

R : Based on Martin Parr.
