Alec Soth, La belle dame sans merci

Published 2011 by Punctum Press for the Fotografia Festival of Roma, bought at Le Bal books, when Sebastian and Sara came back from Italy

Pineapples in a photobook ? Yes.

Mmmm

Alec Soth got commissioned by the Festival to produce a work on the city of Rome. He has decided to remake the picture “An American girl in Roma” by Ruth Orkin.
And he added some pineapples.

This is a strange book. My first reading was not really positive, quite dubitative

But the more you look at the book, the more you like the work.
