Published 2010 by Le Bal and Filigranes, I got this as a present from a friend.

Pictures of Teufelsberg which is made of rubble (left over Berlin’s bombardement during WWII)

Kids come to play on this little mountain, people used to ski during the 60’s, and it was even a US base during the cold war.

At the end of the book, don’t miss Jean-Yves Jouannais’text, it is very good.

Inside the book, there is a small book called ‘document’, with archive pictures showing different steps in the mountain’s “construction”.
Published by Filigranes, bought (30 euros) at Agathe Gaillard’s gallery, where this work is exhibited until 7th April. I got it signed by the artist.

A few weeks ago i said I’d buy this one, because I come from this place, Oise. Not very far from Paris, actually. This is a place there’s not much to say, which makes this book special. The winter there is grey, sad, and silent.

I’ve bought another copy for my best friend’s birthday, and I’ve shown mine to my parents, they liked it. My father tried to recognize the places, looking at the silos in the fields. He said his favorite page was the one with the naked woman. My mum looked carefully at the sculptures and paintings photographed in the churches. This is very close from their lives.

published by Pôle image Haute-Normandie, and Filigranes ;
bought at 7L bookstore, Paris ; 27 euros
I have seen this work at Paris Photo, in November, some of these landscapes remind me my parents place, in Picardie, and this make me think I have to add Thierry Girard’s ‘Hiver d’Oise’ on my wish list.
