Amazing pictures, great book !

Corey Arnold, Fishing with my dad 1978-1995

Published by Nazraeli 2011, One picture book #69, bought on auctions

As I often say simple ideas make great books !

Mark Steinmetz, South East

Published 2008 by Nazraeli, bought $80 at MAST BOOKS (66 avenue A, NYC) during my NY trip.

Mark Steinmetz, Greater Atlanta

Published 2009, by Nazraeli; bought at the bookstore Le Comptoir de l’Image, here in Paris (44 rue de Sévigné, 75003)

As you may already know I love going to this bookshop in le Marais, where the idea is to get lost in all the books, and get what you would have never imagined.

I’m sure I had seen the book before, but didn’t notice it (incredible, but true).

This book is amazing. The black & white is not as strong as I usually like it (speaking about tones and heavy shadows here), but I’ve been caught by the photographs.

Beautifully printed, and again, so many great pictures. Landscapes as well as portraits (which is not that easy !)

Anthony Hernandez, Waiting for Los Angeles

Published 2002 by Nazraeli, bought at Le Bal books

Details of places.

Nice !

Alec Soth, One Mississippi

Published 2010 by Nazraeli, I also bought it there ($250)

I couldn’t order just one book at Nazraeli !

These are pictures taken during a trip from Minnesota to Memphis.

It is published in the One Picture Book series, so there is a small print - signed - included.

Todd Hido, A road divided

Published 2010, by Nazraeli Press. That’s also where I bought it ($109)

I am a few weeks late on that one, as I received it in July. I only opened it on sunday. I looked at it quickly, disapointed.

Then, … I love this picture.

This is a large format, well printed.

I looked at the pictures more carefully. It’s like looking at paintings.

I like pictures when sharp, but this effect is stunning. And you already know I’m attracted by snow.

All the pictures are taken from inside the car, giving to the American landscape a cinematographic feel.

I very much like this one, too.

Forgot to say there is a text by Jean Baudrillard, and the book is dedicated to Larry Sultan (“this book is dedicated to LS, who taught me to draw from within”- I’m impressed), and I got a signed copy.
