This book was in my selection for the PiY 2011 show

Hiroshi Nomura, Slash

Self-published 2010, in an edition of 500

The theme of the book is borders, and the author used a very thin paper, and transparency.

A spread made of white, it’s the back of the paper, and you guess the pictures, when you turn the page you see the spread of photographs.

Very nice.

This book was in my selection for the PiY show in September 2011.

A very special word from Anne, she has also made a PiY bag for me.

Back to the book.

Noah Beil, Gone quickly

Self-published 2011

Letterpress, again

Love that picture

I will present this book by Noah Beil during this year’s edition of PiY, and Noah is coming to Paris for the show from San Francisco.

Gianluca Tamorri, 75003

Self-published, 2011

A look on Paris city. Quite strange, but this doesn’t look that much Paris to me. Really interesting.

This book will be shown during our PiY event, 9-11 sept. 2011.

Pierre Le Hors, Fireworks studies

Published 2010 by Hassla books, where I bought it.

I have always loved fireworks. I wish I knew how to photograph that.

Really surprising to see that fireworks b&w pictures work, and that it can be a great book. A 320 pages !

Pierre Le Hors was one of the artists for our Publish It Yourself show in September 2010.

Seiji Kumagai, The title page

Published by Match and Company 2009, bought at the Bookshop M booth during Paris Photo.

Seiji Kumagai had one of his book at our PIY / Publish It Yourself exhibition last year.

Jessica Williams, Objects and patterns

Zine, published 2011 by Paperheart, which is Jessica Williams’, and distributed by Noth South East West.

This zine comes with a candle and a Fortune Teller Fish. My fish curled up, that means I’m passionate, or jealous… I can read it the way I want to. Sorry I didn’t took the picture.

Jessica Williams was one of the artists of the Publish It Yourself show, last september.

Jamie Hawkesworth, Adam Murray, Robert Parkinson, Preston bus station

Published 2010 by Preston is my Paris

I have received a package in the mail, last week, from Adam and Robert (Preston is my Paris). They sent me their latest publications. One of them is about Preston bus station. Architecture pictures (views or details), and portraits. PPP works on documenting their city, life in a place where there is not much to do… art is their response.

I love the use of polaroid, mixed with classic images, and the fact that some pictures hide a big part of other ones.
