Jamie Hawkesworth, Adam Murray, Robert Parkinson, Preston bus station

Published 2010 by Preston is my Paris

I have received a package in the mail, last week, from Adam and Robert (Preston is my Paris). They sent me their latest publications. One of them is about Preston bus station. Architecture pictures (views or details), and portraits. PPP works on documenting their city, life in a place where there is not much to do… art is their response.

I love the use of polaroid, mixed with classic images, and the fact that some pictures hide a big part of other ones.

Adam Murray, Ancient norse is not a luxury

Published 2010, by Preston is my Paris

Pictures taken during the student protest in the UK in November. I’m still wondering why we haven’t heard about all the protest in the French media.

Adam Murray, Nogent-sur-Marne

Published by Preston is my Paris, 2010

Last year, Adam Murray (and Robert Parkinson) were part of the PIY - Publish It Yourself show at Nogent, for their work Preston is my Paris.

A few months later, here it is a Nogent-sur-Marne book !

Love the picture above. No idea this strange highway in a hole existed.

That is the kind of books that I like best at PPP. B&W snapshots. Pictures would mean nothing on their own, but edited together, they get rythm and strengh.
